    Best Data Science Award The abstract must utilize advanced statistical methodology including big data analytics to evaluate structured or unstructured data sets. The selected winner of this award will receive an Nvidia Graphical Processing Unit for use in future research. All who submit their abstract for Best Data Science Award and meet the criteria of the award description
    Sherry Apple Resident Travel Scholarship The Sherry Apple Resident Travel Scholarship is granted yearly to an outstanding resident abstract accepted at the Congress of Neurological Surgeons Annual Meeting. A stipend of up to $1,000 is given to cover travel expenses. Resident neurosurgeon
    Ronald R. Tasker Young Investigator Award (Resident Award - Section on Pain) $1,000 award given to the highest-ranked abstract submitted for the CNS Annual Meeting concerning pain research Resident, fellow, or neurosurgeon who is no more than two years out from completion of training
    Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery Resident Award $500 award given to the best resident paper addressing a topic of stereotactic and functional neurosurgery Resident or fellow must be first author and presenting author
    Stereotactic and Functional Resident Basic Science Award $500 award given to the best resident paper addressing a topic of basic science in stereotactic and functional neurosurgery Resident or Fellow must be first author and presenting author
    Stereotactic and Functional Resident Clinical Award $500 award given to the best resident paper addressing a topic of clinical stereotactic and functional neurosurgery Resident or Fellow must be first author and presenting author
    Stereotactic and Functional Young Neurosurgeon Best Basic Science Award $500 award given to the best young neurosurgeon paper addressing a topic of basic science stereotactic and functional neurosurgery The Young Neurosurgeon category requires that the person be within 5 years of the end of training
    Stereotactic and Functional Young Neurosurgeon Best Clinical Award $500 award given to the best young neurosurgeon paper addressing a topic of clinical stereotactic and functional neurosurgery The Young Neurosurgeon category requires that the person be within 5 years of the end of training
    Galbraith Award (Resident Award - Section on Cerebrovascular Surgery) $500 award given to the best resident paper addressing a topic of cerebrovascular surgery as judged by the JSCVS Committee responsible for the CNS Annual Meeting Section Program Attending or resident
    Julius Goodman Resident Award (Socioeconomic) $500 award given to a neurosurgical resident based on originality, merit, innovation, and scientific process. The resident must have made a significant contribution to the abstract. The abstract is chosen by two to four members of the Communications and Education Committee (CEC) of the CSNS appointed by the Chair of the CEC. This annual award is presented at the CNS Annual Meeting. If it is decided that there is no abstract that deserves the award that year, the ad hoc committee may choose not to present the award that year. Neurosurgical resident
    Samuel Hassenbusch Young Neurosurgeon Award (Socioeconomic) $500 award given to a young neurosurgeon based on originality, merit, innovation, and scientific process. The young neurosurgeon must have made a significant contribution to the abstract. The abstract is chosen by two to four members of the Communications and Education Committee (CEC) of the CSNS appointed by the Chair of the CEC. This annual award is presented at the CNS Annual Meeting.     American Brain Tumor Association Young Investigator Award $2,000 award given to the high-ranking tumor-related basic science paper submitted by a principal investigator who has completed residency and is within the first six years of training All abstracts submitted in the Tumor category
    BrainLab Neurosurgery Award $1,000 award given to a neurosurgeon practicing outside the United States or in a non-academic setting in the United States with the best abstract related to central nervous system tumors All abstracts submitted in the Tumor category
    Integra Foundation Award $1,000 given to the best clinical research paper on CNS tumors All abstracts submitted in the Tumor category
    Journal of Neuro-Oncology Award $500 award given to a high-ranking abstract related to either clinical or basic science neuro-oncology research All abstracts submitted in the Tumor category
    Rosenblum-Mahaley Clinical Research Award $1,000 award given to a resident, fellow, or attending in neuro-oncology who presents the best clinical research paper in the field All abstracts submitted in the Tumor category
    Preuss Research Award $1,000 award given to the best basic science tumor-related paper submitted by young investigator All abstracts submitted in the Tumor category
    Joint Section Tumors Neuro-Oncology Trainee Award $1,000 award given to a high-ranking brain tumor clinical or basic science abstract submitted by a resident or medical student All abstracts submitted in the Tumor category
    Joint Section Tumors Skull Base Award $1,000 award given to an attending neurosurgeon, resident, or fellow within the Tumor Section who submits the best abstract related to skull base surgery All abstracts submitted in the Tumor category
    Columbia Softball Pediatric Award $1,000 award given to the best pediatric tumor abstract All abstracts submitted in the Tumor category
    Leksell Radiosurgery Award Award given to the best radiosurgery abstract All abstracts submitted in the Tumor category
